The page an address lands on when no route matches it, or when the Lead, Opportunity, Account or Contact it names is not there. Today, signed in, it sits in the app shell; signed out, on the auth layout. First the page as the app draws it today, then six proposed versions, each with a picture that moves.
A proposal carries no layout: no sidebar, no top bar, signed in or not. The brand mark sits at the top left and the two actions are the way back. Each is a full 1280 × 800 screen like the sign-in boards. Pause holds a frame, Restart plays the picture from the start, Full size shows it at the size of the window; Esc closes it. A picture waits while it is off screen, and starts on its last frame, so a screenshot shows it finished.
The app's page is web/packages/crm/src/pages/NotFound.tsx (POC-6.1-404), routed as * through SessionLayout. The six pictures are not in the app; what adding one would take is item 8 of App changes.

Text only: the code in mono, the title, two sentences, the actions, a rule and a note. Signed in, the block is 560 px wide, left-aligned, 64 px under the top bar, and the actions lead to the role's dashboard and to Leads (or to the Overview of the record type the address named). Signed out, the same text sits on the auth card and the one action is Sign in. The proposals below drop the shell and the card both.

The same in every proposal
The text. "Error 404", two sentences, the two actions, the rule and the note are the app's, unchanged. Only the title changes, to fit the picture; the app's "Page not found" would do for all six.
No layout. A Not found page stands on its own: no sidebar, no top bar, whether signed in or not (decided 2026-10-07). The brand mark at the top left, then the picture and the text side by side, centered, at most 1020 px wide.
Signed out. The same page; only the actions change, to Go to sign in.
Colors and type. Every color is one of the app's tokens or a tint of one; the type is Inter at the app's sizes. The pictures are inline SVG, no image files.
Narrow screens. Under 1100 px the text goes under the picture; under 760 px the sidebar goes. Full size on a phone shows it.
Reduced motion. Every picture holds its last frame when the system asks for less motion.
1. Empty plot

A surveyor’s plan on the left. A boundary draws itself around nothing, a pin with a question mark drops into it, and the plot gets its label: Plot 404, not on the plan. The page says what a Land user would say.

3. Not a stage

The stage bar fills from New Lead to Legals, one dot at a time, as the stage engine would move a deal. A thirteenth dot hangs under the rail, dashed and red, reading 404: it is not in the stage table, and nothing moves to it.
